The short version

What we collect

Vizix is designed to work without a user account. The limited data below is what may be collected automatically while you use the app.

Diagnostics & usage analytics

To keep Vizix stable and understand which features are used, Vizix uses Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) on both iOS and Android. This may include:

• Crash and performance logs — stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version when something goes wrong, so we can fix it.
• Anonymous usage events — aggregate, non-identifying signals such as app opens, session counts, and which screens or effects are used.
• Device & app identifiers — a Firebase-assigned instance identifier and general device info used to group these diagnostics. This is not tied to your real-world identity.

This information is statistical and is not used to identify you personally.

Notification token (only if you opt in)

If you allow notifications, your device generates a push token (via Apple Push Notification service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you product updates and offers. When that happens, the app sends to our server only: the push token, your platform (iOS or Android), your app language, and the app version. No personal information is attached. If you don't grant notification permission, no token is sent.

What we never collect

• Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address during normal app use. A provisional competition winner may choose to provide an email address after being contacted on TikTok so prize and future-pack codes can be delivered.
• Your contacts, calendar, location, photos library, or microphone. Vizix has no audio features of any kind and never listens to your microphone.
• The content of the visuals you create — these are generated and stored locally on your device.
• Any data used for cross-app tracking or sold to data brokers.

How the data is used

We use the limited data described above only to:

• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
• Understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it.
• Deliver the notifications you've asked to receive.
• Process and restore your purchases through the app stores.
• Verify eligibility, manage entries, monitor public view counts, select winners, prevent abuse, and deliver creator-competition prizes when you choose to enter.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) — diagnostics and notification delivery. See the Firebase Privacy & Security documentation.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases. Payment details are handled entirely by the store; Vizix never sees your card information.
• TikTok — optional sign-in and access to the public profile, public videos, and public view counts needed to administer a creator competition.

Purchases

Vizix offers optional one-time purchases (effect packs). All transactions are processed by Apple or Google through their respective billing systems. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made so we can unlock content, but we do not collect or store your payment information. Your purchases are tied to your store account, not to any Vizix account, and can be restored on your devices.

Notifications

Notifications are entirely optional. You're asked for permission once, and you can change your choice at any time in your device settings. If you decline or later turn notifications off, no push token is collected and you simply won't receive update messages.

Optional creator competition

If you choose to enter a Vizix creator competition, you connect your TikTok account and accept the competition's Official Rules and privacy notice. We then process your TikTok user ID, public profile details, public video metadata, public view counts, selected entries, eligibility country, mobile platform, rules acceptance, and competition status. We do not download the content of your TikTok videos.

TikTok access and refresh tokens are encrypted on our server and are used only for competition administration. The app stores only an opaque Vizix session token in platform-protected storage. You can disconnect TikTok in the competition screen. Disconnecting stops future TikTok access but does not automatically erase a submitted entry or records we must keep to administer or audit the competition. Data retention & deletion

Diagnostic and analytics data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes above and is then deleted or anonymized in line with our providers' standard retention periods. Your notification token is removed from our records when it becomes invalid (for example, if you uninstall the app or disable notifications). Competition records follow the periods stated in the competition-specific privacy notice.

Because Vizix has no account system, your creations and settings live on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored content. To request deletion of any diagnostic data associated with your device, contact us at the address below.

Children

Vizix is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Creator competitions are limited to people who are at least 18 and have reached the age of majority where they live. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on this site.
